NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's tennis team is heading south this weekend to compete in the Florida International University (FIU) Panther Invitational held in Miami, Florida, Oct. 28-30.
The Redbirds' five-player roster will compete against four other schools such as: Florida Gulf Coast University, University of Southern Florida, Florida International University and Stetson.
"We will face tough competition in Miami, and that will be a great way to finish our fall season," Illinois State head coach Maja Kovacek said. "We have made big strides and progress while playing tournaments so far this semester and I'm expecting the same in Miami.
