ISU recruit Tinsley adjusting to increased attention at Lake Land

EAST PEORIA — The only shot William Tinsley sank Monday night against Illinois Central College didn't count. A foul was called just before Tinsley swished a 3-pointer from the wing in the game's first minute.

The Illinois State recruit and Ridgeview High School graduate soon picked up two quick fouls and went to Lake Land College's bench. The 6-foot-6 Tinsley, tightly guarded by ICC the rest of the way, never got in an offensive flow.

Tinsley, who had poured in 74 points in the previous three games, scored only four (all on free throws) as ICC squeaked out a 72-69 victory.
