Illinois State freshman D'Jenne Egharevba had a 100-meter time of 11.54 seconds Friday in the quarterfinals but was unable to advance in the NCAA West Preliminary round track and field meet at Austin, Texas.
Another freshman, Derrius Rodgers, clocked a 21.02 time in the men's 200 but fell just short of advancing to Saturday's quarterfinals.
ISU's Sydney Laufenberg finished 29th in the discus with a best of 163 feet, 1 inch. Teammate Morgan Keller had a best of 144-2 and also did not advance.
Redbird sophomore Demetria Anderson had a time of 13.
