With the fourth pick in the third round, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected defensive end, Dawuane Smoot. He was the first Illini player picked this year and someone who is going to make an impact on the team in the first few seasons.
The Jaguars currently have two starting defensive ends that are highly regarded. Dante Fowler Jr. was a first-round selection in the 2015 NFL Draft. He missed his entire rookie campaign with a torn ACL and last year only had four sacks and 23 tackles. There might be room for Smoot to steal some snaps from him.
