GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Illinois’ pursuit of post depth in the Class of 2017 continued Tuesday with a scholarship offer extended to four-star Grand Rapids Christian power forward Xavier Tillman.
The 6-foot-9, 230-pound Tillman is one of six power forwards and one of 10 total post players Illinois is targeting in the Class of 2017. Three of those bigs — Cristo Rey Jesuit (Minn.) power forward Jericho Sims, Victory Rock Prep (Fla.) center Mayan Kiir and Gulliver Prep (Fla.) center Victor Uyaelunmo — were also offered this spring.
