Texans running back Alfred Blue, a Louisiana native who played at LSU, was disappointed but not surprised coach Les Miles was fired.
"No, I really wasn't surprised," Blue said after practice today. "I think if they were going to do it they should have done it (after last season) and not during the season. Now, who are they going to bring in (full time)?"
Blue was an all-state selection recruited by Miles. The Texans drafted him in the sixth round in 2014.
"I feel bad," Blue said. "He's a great coach and a great mentor. He's a player's coach and a fun guy to be around in practice.
