After a breakout season in his third year, Houston Texans edge defender Jadeveon Clowney’s position coach Anthony Weaver was impressed enough that he told him he has Hall of Fame potential.
Clowney’s PFF grade of 87.2 in 2016 was ninth best among edge defenders and was also a career-best to this point. Particularly, Clowney shined defending the run where his grade of 89.1 tied for third among all edge defenders.
In 2016, Clowney also improved as a pass-rusher where he posted a current career-best in pass rush productivity with a figure of 9.
