Bill O'Brien on Texans' Kai'imi Fairbairn: 'I think he's a good, young kicker'

As the Texans' new kicker, Kai'imi Fairbairn hadn't really been tested in a pressure situation until last week.

When the former Lou Groza award winner from UCLA was called upon to kick a 42-yard field goal during the team's 13-9 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, he calmly split the uprights.

Fairbairn has connected on both of his first two field-goal attempts and all of his extra points as the replacement for veteran kicker Nick Novak.

“I think he’s a good kicker, I really do," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said. "I think he’s a good, young kicker.
