3 Players The Houston Texans Could Pick In The 1st Round Of The 2017 NFL Draft

The Houston Texans hold the No. 25 pick in the NFL Draft after a promising 2016 campaign that resulted in a playoff berth, and this team is looking to add an impact player that can help them take another step forward next season. Here are three players the Texans should target in the first round of the draft:

1) Ryan Ramczyk, OT, Wisconsin

In a down tackle class, Ramczyk looks like he could be the best one. He has the potential to be a left tackle, but the Texans might keep him at right tackle for now.

2) Eddie Vanderdoes, DL, UCLA

The Texans need DL help badly. Without J.J. Watt, the defensive line has struggled. Vince Wilfork is no longer getting the job done and Vanderdoes could be his replacement. There are some productivity and injury issues, but Vanderdoes has the skill set. It might be a bit early for him, but the need makes sense.

3) Patrick Mahomes, QB, Texas Tech

This would definitely be a reach for Mahomes, but with Houston's quarterback problems, they may decide to take a gamble here on one. He needs to sit out at least one year, probably two, before being ready, but has all of the arm talent in the world - and head coach Bill O'Brien is known for being a quarterback guru.
