Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni could see the benefits of the off-season work his players put in prior to camp. That did not mean there was not work to be done on conditioning with the start of two-a-days.
"Predictable, little tired legs toward the end," D'Antoni said. "Overall, the spirit's terrific. They're doing everything we ask. They're trying to do it as hard as they could do it. I'm upbeat about it."
Asked if the Rockets seemed ahead of schedule because of the voluntary mini-camps and weeks of workouts prior to camp, D'Antoni said, "Without a doubt. They could go a little bit longer, little bit harder, get some concepts a bit quicker.
