After 4 seasons, Patrick Beverly had made something abundantly clear; only certain players have the capacity to play the point when sharing the floor with James Harden. While many have attempted to find a working chemistry offensively with Harden it’s been the defense of Beverley, 3-point shooting and willingness to play off the ball which has kept him in the starting line-up.
Thinking back to Raja Bell, there may be an easy transition for Beverley into the new schemes though it’s doubtful he’ll be tasked with an increased offensive now that Eric Gordon is part of the roster.
