Rockets News: Rockets to waive center Dexter Pittman

In Rockets news today, it was a short ride for center Dexter Pittman with the Houston Rockets as he is now expected to be released four days after the team signed him.

According to Mark Berman of Fox 26 in Houston, "NBA sources told FOX 26 Sports the Rockets are expected to release center Dexter Pittman," in a bizarre set of circumstances which the Houston Rockets have yet to comment on at the present time.

Pittman was extremely excited to join the Houston Rockets, especially since he grew up in the area -- "I'm blessed," Pittman said when he was signed. "I always dreamed about playing back home. I'm in shock right now. "I never knew that I would come back home and play on the same court that Hakeem Olajuwon helped build."

However, the dream was short-lived as Dexter Pittman never got a actual chance to play in a Houston Rockets uniform.
