Springer sharp in rehab, returns to Astros tonight

The 25-year-old Springer was batting .264 with 13 home runs and 29 RBIs in 75 games for the Astros this season before being sidelined with a fractured right wrist on July 1, when he was hit by a pitch from Kansas City's Edinson Volquez. Houston went 26-27 during Springer's absence.

In his four-game rehab stint with Corpus Christi, Springer hit .286 (4-for-14) with a double, two walks and a steal.

The Astros also recalled right-hander Michael Feliz from Corpus Christi. Feliz, 22, went 7-4 with a 2.83 ERA in 23 games (17 starts) combined for Corpus Christi and Class A Lancaster.
