Jed Lowrie’s second stay with Astros ends after a year with trade to A’s

The Astros have traded shortstop Jed Lowrie to the Oakland Athletics, according to a report Wednesday.

Jane Lee of MLB.com first reported the trade, which would send Lowrie back to his fromer team. There is no immediate word on what the Astros are getting back.

According to multiple sources, the A’s have reacquired Jed Lowrie in a trade with the Astros.

Lowrie, who signed a three-year deal with the Astros as a free agent last offseason, hit. 222 with 9 home runs and 30 RBIs.
