Bregman, seeing more time at third base, extends streak to 22 games

Prior to last night’s game, infielder Alex Bregman, who has reached safely in 21 consecutive games, ranks 2nd in MiLB with a 1.119 OPS. Bregman ranks among the Texas League leaders in most offensive categories, including home runs (2nd, 12) and RBIs (33). For the season, the LSU product has logged as many homers as strikeouts, while notching at least 1 hit in 28 of 34 games this year. Bregman has reached base in all but one of those contests.

In last night’s game, Bregman, who has started at third base in four of his last seven games, was back in the lineup at shortstop and went 1-for-4, his fifth-inning RBI single extended Corpus Christi's lead to 3-1, his on-base streak to 22 games, and hitting streak to seven.
