Righthander Mike Fiers, who was acquired along with Carlos Gomez from the Brewers on Thursday, will make his Astros debut Tuesday night against the Rangers in Arlington.
Astros manager A.J. Hinch announced that Lance McCullers will open the three-game series against the Rangers on Monday. He will be followed by Fiers on Tuesday and Scott Kazmir on Wednesday.
Fiers started Wednesday for the Brewers, so he will have an extra day of rest between starts. Kazmir will also start with an extra day of rest, but McCullers will start on the traditional four days of rest between starts.
