Houston Astros pitcher Brad Peacock is headed back to the disabled list with a left intercostal strain, according to the team.
(In case you’re wondering, the intercostal muscle is located along the ribcage.)
Peacock, who was recalled from AAA Fresno earlier this week, made his first start on Tuesday, April 14 against the Oakland A’s. Peacock went five innings, giving up three earned runs on five hits, and had three strikeouts.
He was recalled from the Grizzlies after Asher Wojciechowski pitched four relief innings against the A’s during Monday’s game.
