Angels manager Mike Scioscia acknowledged meeting embattled outfielder Josh Hamilton for “a nice dinner” in Houston on Wednesday night.
“I’m not going to talk about any particular things that we talked about,” Scioscia said. “He’s on his way with his physical recovery. He’s getting into more baseball activities and we’ll just see when he’s ready to get out and really get after it and play. We’re not sure yet.
“It was good to see him. I think some of our guys saw him (Thursday), too. I know it’s good to touch base with him for sure.”
Hamilton, who has batted addiction for more than a decade, had a relapse this winter, one that he self-reported.
