Packers TE Quarless gets 1 year of probation

Green Bay Packers tight end Andrew Quarless was sentenced to one year of probation and paid a $1,000 fine after he was charged on July 4 with a misdemeanor for firing a gun in public in Florida.

According to the court records, Quarless also is required to attend an anger management course, a weapons course and had to forfeit the gun.

The veteran tight end is currently on IR-designated to return with a knee injury, but returned to practice Monday. He has played in three games this season, compiling two catches for 14 yards.
