The Green Bay Packers have signed WR Max McCaffrey to the active roster from the practice squad and placed C/G JC Tretter on injured reserve. The transactions were announced Saturday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.
McCaffrey, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound rookie, was signed to the Packers’ practice squad on Dec. 20. He was originally signed by the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent on May 10 but was released on Aug. 29.
