Packers add Justin McCray to guard competition

The Green Bay Packers have added some competition at guard before the draft. On Wednesday, the team signed Justin McCray to an undisclosed deal.

A 6-foot-3, 317-pound offensive lineman, McCray has bounced around since going pro in 2014. He spent most of his first year on the Tennessee Titans' practice squad and has subsequently appeared with the Arena Football League's Orlando Predators. He has yet to appear in an NFL regular-season game.

With the future of right guard muddled in Green Bay following the departure of T.J. Lang, McCray could factor into a position battle that should include Don Barclay, Lucas Patrick, Kyle Murphy and others.
