Green Bay Packers: Will Eddie Lacy’s off-season training be enough?

After a heartbreaking end to last year’s season, expectations for the Green Bay Packers to improve are higher than ever going into training camp.

With Jordy Nelson’s knee injury looking to be minor enough that he’ll be ready for the regular season, all eyes have turned to a slimmer, more aerodynamic Eddie Lacy.

Last season, Packers fans were nearly knocked off their bar stools upon seeing how Lacy had ‘bulked up’ in the off-season. A healthy dose of grandma’s cooking took the third-year running back from a stealth 230 pounds to a robust 250-plus.

While it seemed like coach Mike McCarthy still supported Lacy and his questionable level of play when he was routinely asked by reporters about the situation, he finally let it all out following the season’s disappointing end.
