Andrew Quarless' return helps the Packers but it's not a miracle cure

Green Bay — For better or worse, the players the Green Bay Packers are lining up to catch Aaron Rodgers' passes are the ones in their locker room right now.

That group includes veteran tight end Andrew Quarless, who has missed eight straight games after being put on the injured reserve/ designated to return list with a knee injury.

Quarless returned to practice Monday, triggering a two-week window in which he may continue practicing until the Packers have to make a roster move. No one, including Quarless, was ruling out the possibility he would be activated this week and play Thursday night against the Detroit Lions.
