My take: This pick probably wouldn’t have been necessary had B.J. Raji not surprised the Packers by his decision to walk away from football. But without one of their most reliable run stoppers -- and with defensive tackle Mike Pennel suspended for the first four games of the season -- this became a bigger need than anyone might have expected.
