Aaron Rodgers, Packers offense adapts to coaches' new roles

Green Bay — Before Aaron Rodgers nestles into the brown frame of his locker Thursday — a spot he would later wedge himself, feet included, to glean a bit of privacy while making a phone call — he glances around the room with a dose of confusion.

Here stands the NFL's reigning most valuable player, available to reporters on the first day of Green Bay Packers training camp, yet the media swath before him is best described as sparse, especially by superstar standards.

So Rodgers looks to his right, down the length of the football-shaped locker room at Lambeau Field, and wonders aloud if perhaps Sam Shields or Micah Hyde, two defensive backs, are responsible for his shrunken soapbox.
