Zags beat USF in game two of doubleheader

With the first game of the day going into 16 innings and ending with a Zag win 4-3, the second game did not begin until 7:50 p.m

Senior righty Justin Vernia got the game off to a great start with retiring the first three batters he faced.

This was followed by Daniel Fredrickson hitting his first homerun of the year, a drive that just made it over the fence in left in the bottom of the first.

Vernia also got the job done playing his position in the top of the third inning by fielding a comebacker, turning and firing to shortstop Gunnar Schubert who completed the double play.
