10 must follow Twitter accounts for the US Open

The 2012 US Open starts Thursday, live from lovely the Olympic Club in San Francisco. While most of us will be working hard during the first two rounds on Thursday and Friday, we took the liberty to find the ten absolute must follow Twitter accounts during the 2012 US Open.

The former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader is wife of tour veteran Hunter Mahan. She has become a frequent tweeter in the last several days around San Francisco, sending out pictures of her, Hunters and several friends adventures around the city leading up to the Open. Expect her to tweet out behind the scenes pictures from the players-only areas at Olympic Club.

 

US Open official account @usopengolf

The official account of the US Open. This account will keep followers tapped in to the latest breaking news on the happenings of the day. They announce when each player is teeing off, any great shots and any birdies, eagles and hole in ones.

 

Scott Van Pelt @notthefakeSVP

The SportsCenter anchor and ESPN Radio host will be live from Olympic Club all week providing on-site TV coverage for the worldwide leader. Van Pelt has a close relationship with Tiger Woods and frequently gets the inside scoop on Woods play and strategy for certain holes. He is also a fan of . . . .
