Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant will start participating in non-contact drills with the team and could return before the end of the regular season, according to an update released by the team.

The Warriors close the season with three straight home games starting on April 8, which is Durant's most probable return date, according to ESPN's Marc Stein

Durant suffered a strained MCL and tibial bone bruise on Feb. 28 in a game against the Washington Wizards, and has been doing on-court workouts before games.

He was averaging a team-high 25.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game before suffering the injury.
