Warriors' Harrison Barnes To Miss At Least Three Games With Sprained Ankle

Golden State Warriors forward Harrison Barnes will miss at least three weeks with a sprained ankle, the team announced. X-rays were negative and didn't show any broken bones. He will be re-evaluated in a week.

Barnes suffered the injury in the third quarter of Golden State's 135-116 victory of the Suns on Friday night while trying to block a shot by Phoenix forward Markieff Morris.

Head coach Luke Walton said that the team won't rush Barnes back, saying they want to avoid "lingering injuries" this year.

Barnes finished with seven points, seven rebounds, and two steals in 21 minutes against the Suns before leaving. He is averaging 13.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists this year while starting 16 games for the undefeated Warriors.

Golden State broke the NBA record for best start to a season, and are currently 18-0. They start a seven-game road trip tonight against the Utah Jazz.
