Late Run Carries Warriors To 107-98 Win Over Rockets In Crucial Western Conference Showdown

The Golden State Warriors extended their win-streak to 10 games and inched closer to clinching the top seed in the Western Conference with a 107-98 win over the Houston Rockets.

After trailing for most of the game, the Warriors ripped off a massive run in the fourth quarter the seize control and ultimately get the win. Golden State scored 12 unanswered points over a seven-minute stretch as Houston went 13 straight possessions without scoring in the fourth.

The Rockets had built a double-digit lead in the first half and were really in control of the game, but the Warriors closed the game to five at the halftime break thanks to a buzzer beater from Andre Iguodala.

Though the game remained close throughout the third quarter and start of the fourth, the Warriors did not take the lead until that massive run in the fourth quarter.

The loss marks the first time this season in which the Rockets have lost three games in a row.

Harden struggled in this one, scoring just 17 points on 4-18 shooting to go along with 12 rebounds and eight assists. Eric Gordon and Trevor Ariza also added 15 points apiece.

Stephen Curry's stellar play continued for the Warriors, as he dropped 24 points with seven rebounds and five assists. Klay Thompson added 20 while Iguodala had 14 points off the bench.

Golden State's next game is Sunday at home against the Wizards, while the Rockets play the Suns in Phoenix.
