Andrew Bogut Happy With Smaller Role With Warriors

Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut often found himself as the odd man out when the team went to a small-ball lineup last season, but he insisted that doesn't bother him - as long as the Warriors continue to win.

“As long as we get that win at the end of a game, I'm not offended by it,” said Bogut, via SFGate.com. “I'm going into my 11th year. If I can get three more championships by not playing the last two games of the Finals series, I'll shake your hand right now and take it.I think there will be a good mix of both [small ball and big ball]. There will be games where I play big minutes, and there will be games where I play less minutes. But obviously, I've accepted my role of whatever Coach does, and we have the utmost confidence in everybody that plays.”

Bogut has also lost 22 pounds this offseason, which says will help him immensely on the court this season.

“Imagine carrying around a 22-pound backpack every day and then taking it off. That’s essentially what I’ve done. It’s going to take pressure off Steph and Klay (Thompson), if I can make a couple of post moves and roll to the basket strong and finish.”
