With Speights back, what’s next for the Warriors in free agency?

The Warriors on Monday exercised their $3.8 million option to keep reserve forward/center Marreese Speights for the 2015-16 season - one of the team’s final paperwork moves before the NBA’s free-agency period commences at 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Starting late Tuesday night, teams may meet with free agents and even reach deals in principle, but no contracts may be officially signed until the league’s moratorium ends July 10.

Already butting up against the projected salary-cap apron of $85 million, the Warriors aren’t expected to be major players for a free-agent class that includes All-Stars LeBron James, Marc Gasol, LaMarcus Aldridge, Kevin Love, Jimmy Butler, Dwyane Wade and Paul Millsap.
