Warriors News: Gary Payton thinks Stephen Curry isn't on his level yet

In Warriors news today, Seattle Seahawks legend Gary Payton thinks that Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry and OKC Thunder guard Russell Westbrook have work to do to match up to his complete body of work.

Per ExNBA.com (by way of information obtained from TMZ Sports), Gary Payton doesn't even believe that Curry or Westbrook are point guards -- just glorified shooting guards -- “There are only three true point guards in the NBA now – Tony Parker, Rajon Rondo and Chris Paul,” Payton states in the article. “The rest, like Steph Curry, Russell Westbrook, are shooting guards who play at point guard spot.”

Payton went on to say that everyone mentioned above still has work to do to get onto his level, which is up for debate depending on who is looking and how they are looking at it.

Payton averaged 16.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in 1335 total games. He is also the franchise leader for the Seattle Supersonics / OKC Thunder in career steals.
