2014-15 NBA MVP Stephen Curry is the media darling of the Golden State Warriors -- and rightfully so -- but his Splash Brothers cohort, Klay Thompson, also deserves plenty of love for helping the Dubs scale the NBA mountaintop. 1. His Brother Was Drafted First
Most Dubs fans at least are aware that Klay's father, Mychal Thompson, was the 1st overall pick in the 1978 NBA Draft. However, his brother is also an athletic standout. Trayce was drafted by the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball and is currently doing work in their farm system. And, as Trayce likes to point out, he was the first of the brothers to be drafted by a pro team.
"It's funny because I was originally drafted first," he said. "So in high school, (Klay) was a big deal his senior year, and then I had my moment in high school and got drafted."
2. Klay Is The #2 Most Popular Aquarius In Basketball
Yes, they keep record of this -- at least FamousBirthdays.com does. Who's the number one basketball baby from the January 20 to February 18 cycle? Why, that'd be His Airness himself, Michael Jordan.
3. His Girlfriend Is Internet Famous
We're not quite sure who she is exactly, but Klay Thompson's girlfriend, Hannah Stocking, has hundreds of thousands of followers on both Instagram and Vine. Ten dollars says they play the "who's more famous" game during their off time.
4. He Represented As A Young Cougar
Klay's basketball acumen didn't just come about overnight. Thompson was a sensation right during his freshman year at Washington State, starting all 33 games for the Cougs before being named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman team.
