The Georgia Tech softball team got back in the win column on Friday, sweeping the Omaha Mavericks in a double header.
Brooke Barfield pitched seven stellar innings for the Yellow Jackets in game one, giving the one run on three hits. Barfield was able to pitch seven
strong innings despite walking five throughout the seven innings, she did however strike out five. It is worth nothing that the one run that Barfield did allow was an unearned run.
Shortstop Kelsey Chrisholm provided all the offense Georgia Tech would need on Friday. In the first inning, she drilled a three-run homerun that allowed the Jackets to jump up 3-0.
