Georgia Tech’s Paul Johnson Thinks “Brand Name” Helped Ohio State Into College Football Playoff

Ohio State captured last season’s College Football Playoff national championship with convincing victories over Alabama and Oregon.

Many felt going into the CFP that TCU had a case to make the playoff over the Buckeyes, though OSU clearly proved they belonged in the field. Still, the debate continues whether or not a program’s brand or tradition plays a role in the selection process.

Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson obviously believes it does.
