STATESBORO - Georgia Southern Director of Athletics Tom Kleinlein announced Wednesday the addition of the University of Minnesota to the Eagles' 2019 football slate. GS will travel to Minneapolis on Sept. 14, 2019 for a home game at TCF Bank Stadium.
"Scheduling a game with Minnesota gives us a chance to take the Georgia Southern brand to a part of the country that has never been exposed to Eagle Football," Kleinlein said. "We're excited to be able to do that and give our team and fans a new experience and opponent."
The Eagles and Golden Gophers have never met in football.
