The NCAA Board of Directors revisited the satellite camp issue and lifted the ban on them on Thursday. Consequently, the SEC has lifted their ban as a conference on these camps as well. It was the biggest news in college football except that it was somewhat overshadowed by the Ole Miss and Tunsil NFL Draft debacle.
Anyway, Kirby Smart said he was going to be prepared if satellite camps were ever a reality in college football. They are now, and Smart has already made three major plans. First is an unconfirmed report that UGA will be a part of a satellite camp taking place at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala.
