Kirby Smart looking to see how QBs handle game plan before naming starter

ATHENS, Ga. – With less than two weeks remaining before its season opener against North Carolina, Georgia still hasn’t named a starting quarterback.

But Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart has one potentially final test for them that could separate one from the others.

So what exactly does he have in mind?

“How will they handle a game plan,” Smart said Wednesday. “We haven’t game planned for anybody. We’re working on University of Georgia right now, and getting better and getting better to try to improve fundamentally. We’ve got a plan to get started on some new North Carolina stuff in the next coming days.
