Kirby Smart, Georgia players taking ownership for player arrests

HOOVER, Ala. – Georgia hasn’t been devoid of off-the-field issues in its first offseason under new coach Kirby Smart, but he – and his players – are taking ownership of it all the same.

At SEC Media Days last week, Smart and at least two of his three player attendees at the annual event – safety Dominick Sanders and tight end Jeb Blazevich – were asked about the five arrested Bulldogs (eight overall) since January.

“I hate that for them, but our team has moved on,” Smart said. “It’s very important that we don’t make the same mistakes twice.
