Five 2016 Recruits Every Georgia Fan Needs To Know

Mark Richt's 2015 recruiting class might not have gotten the hype of Alabama or USC, but it was still one of the premier groups in the nation.

Never one to get complacent, Richt has already turned his attention to 2016, and Georgia has already identified a number of high-potential targets...several of which have already committed. Here are five Class of 2016 recruits every UGA fan needs to know:

5. RB JaQua Daniels

The 4-Star RB is a punishing runner who routinely sheds tackles to pick up huge gains after contact. The Athens native is currently rated as the #12 running back in the class of '16, but we'd be absolutely shocked if he doesn't end up higher than that by this time next year. He's currently uncommitted, but most scouts and recruiting analysts agree Georgia is by far his most likely destination.

4. DT Derrick Brown

Brown is one of two 5-Star DEs that the Dawgs have made a high priority, and he's the more likely of the two to end up at Georgia. With shocking strength and power for a high school junior, Brown can develop into one of the most dominant players in college football on UGA's strength & conditioning program.

3. DT Julian Rochester

Rochester is the #4 DT in the Class of '16, and it sounds like the Georgia native will end up at either UGA or Auburn. With size (he's already 6'6, 300 lbs) and surprising agility, Rochester is one of those players who looks like a grown-up ringer at a youth basketball game. He's equally capable in the middle or coming off the edge, and the 5-Star recruit is one of the most disruptive players we've seen in a long time.

2. OT Ben Cleveland

Cleveland is the #1 player in the state of Georgia, and the mammoth offensive tackle can anchor the Dawgs' line for years to come. The 5-Star tackle turned down Alabama, Auburn, Florida, FSU, Texas and more when he committed to UGA last summer.

Already 6'7 and 322 lbs, Cleveland has spent his last few seasons dominating high school competition, and he should provide a reliable, consistent safety net for our #1 recruit...

1. QB Jacob Eason

If you've been following Georgia recruiting at all lately, this isn't much of a surprise. Eason is the #1 QB in the class of '16, and he's passed up offers from Alabama, FSU, USC and a long list of other leading programs to commit his future to the Dawgs.

At 6'5, 205 lbs, Eason has the size and arm strength of a prototypical pocket passer, but he also has the quickness and creativity to make plays with his feet. His latest junior season highlight reel went up a few days ago, and you can check it out for yourself right here (click here for a direct link if it won't load):
