Almsot immediately after it was announced that FSU football would be the featured program on Showtime’s documentary series / reality show ‘A Season With’, some in the Seminoles’ fan base wondered how much of a problem it might be for the program.
It’s not as if Florida State needs the media help: the ‘Noles have been a national brand for the better part of the last quarter century, thanks to three national titles, 15 conference crowns and countless high profile players and coaches over that span. Many wondered why bring unneeded distractions to Tallahassee.
At the time of the announcement this summer, head coach Jimbo Fisher tried to sell it as a positive for the program:
“At Florida State, we have a tremendous family atmosphere, and we are looking forward to showcasing what makes FSU football special.
