It was a different setting for FSU baseball against Florida on Tuesday, but the same result. Entering Tuesday’s game FSU had lost three straight games to Florida, all three in Gainesville. The rivals met in the annual Sunshine Showdown at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville on Tuesday and UF extended their winning streak to four games with a 4-1 victory. The loss brought FSU’s record to 18-8 so far on the season.
It wasn’t exactly the same result as the previous three meetings, as FSU actually scored a run. In the previous three games FSU failed to get on the board.
