After ending the 2016 regular season with losses in six of their last eight games, FSU baseball needs a big showing in the ACC Tournament if they want to assure themselves a chance of hosting a NCAA Regional tournament next weekend.
The Seminoles did just that as they got a big eighth inning to pull away from the N.C. State Wolfpack and win the opener between the teams, 7-3, to get the early lead in pool play for the tournament.
