FSU's Jameis Winston To Be On Sideline For Saturday's Game Against Clemson

Despite serving a team-imposed one-game suspension for a sexually-charged scream that was witnessed by several other Florida State students, reigning Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston will be on the sidelines Saturday night when the #1 Florida State Seminoles host the #22 Clemson Tigers.

Here's ESPN's Heather Cox with the scoop:

Winston was initially banned for just the first half of Saturday's game by interim university president Garnett S. Stokes. However, Florida State announced on Friday night that sophomore QB Sean Maguire would take over starting duties for the full contest, issuing this statement to the press:

"Based upon the results of the continuing investigation of Tuesday's incident involving Jameis Winston, we have decided to not play him for the entire game against Clemson on Saturday night."

Per ESPN's Rachel Nichols, Florida State's administration decided to extend his suspension after learning they "discovered he'd not been entirely truthful with them."

Obviously, this could have  huge ramifications for both FSU and Clemson - both in the ACC and in the eyes of the committee overseeing the new College Football Playoff.
