Florida Panthers Recall Brent Regner from Portland (AHL)

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Panthers have recalled defenseman Brent Regner from the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Portland Pirates.

The 26-year old Regner, has recorded 12 points (2-10-12) in 43 games with Portland this season while serving as the team’s captain.

The 5-foot-11, 189-pound native of Westlock, Alberta has recorded 154 points (26-128-154) in 431 AHL games. Regner was originally selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the fifth round (137th overall) of the 2008 NHL Draft.

The Panthers host the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday, Feb.
