MIAMI (August 11, 2017) – The FIU men's soccer team placed three players on the All-Conference USA Preseason Team, as announced by the league office on Friday. Headlining the trio is junior forward Santiago Patino (Orlando, Fla./Freedom) who was tabbed the C-USA Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. Joining Patino on the preseason team is senior defender Paul Marie (Saint Aubindes Bois, France/5th Ursule/Newberry College) and sophomore midfielder Joris Ahlinvi (Gujan-Mestras, France/Esarc Evolution).
In addition, the Panthers have been voted by the league's head coaches to finish third in this year's preseason coaches poll, behind Charlotte and New Mexico, respectively.
