SAN ANTONIO, Texas (January 14, 2017) – The FIU men's basketball team, who trailed by as many as 14 points in the second half, stormed back to take as much as a three-point lead with less than four minutes left in the game, but could not hold on as UTSA pulled out a gut-wrenching 57-55 win Saturday afternoon.
Elmo Stephen scored a career- and game-high 21 points, while Michael Kessens and Eric Nottage added 17 and 13 points, respectively. Kessens also pulled down a team-high nine rebounds in the loss.
