For as poorly as Florida’s offense played Saturday night against rival FSU, the Gators still had chances to put points on the scoreboard.

But three trips to the red zone resulted in zero points during UF’s 27-2 loss to the Seminoles at The Swamp.

“We had opportunities and we didn’t take advantage of them,” Florida coach Jim McElwain said. “That’s something we have to learn from.”

On the first trip, in the first quarter, Florida had fourth-and-2 at the 20-yard line and opted to go for it rather than try a 38-yard field goal.
