UF Football Notebook: Tabor on AP's All-SEC first team

Matt Stamey

From a Florida perspective, there is one mystifying omission on the Associated Press All-SEC team that was released Thursday.

No Jarrad Davis.

The heart and soul of the Florida defense and the team's second leading tackler this season, the middle linebacker was not recognized by members of the media who vote on the team.

Although Davis was left off, six other Gators did make the AP All-SEC team, led by junior cornerback Jalen Tabor, who is the lone UF player on the first team.

Five Gators are on the second team -- sophomore offensive lineman Martez Ivey, junior defensive tackle Caleb Brantley, junior cornerback Quincy Wilson, senior safety Marcus Maye and junior punter Johnny Townsend.
